Russell Silva is a screenwriter, director, & D.P. based in Steilacoom, WA, with 20+ experience years in the industry. He’s drawn to high-concept stories grounded in emotional truth – unexpected relationships, moral friction, and the common humanity hiding in plain sight. He has written five feature screenplays and has placed in ten screenwriting competitions & festivals.
His favorite lanes to write and watch include psychological thrillers, adventure/fantasy, and dark dramedy, often blending kinetic storytelling with intimate character stakes. Creative touchstones include – Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, No Country for Old Men, Interstellar, The Truman Show, American Beauty, & Life of Pi.
